Privacy policy

Last updated 15 July 2026. This is a starter privacy policy and not legal advice. Have it reviewed before launch.

Who we are

Carted is an independent site operated from South Korea. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases — see ouraffiliate disclosure. There are no accounts to create here, we run no ads, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

What we collect

  • Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and learn which pages are worth writing more of. It records the pages you view, a rough location derived from your IP address, your device and browser, how you arrived here, and when you click through to Amazon (which product, and which part of the page the button was in). We never ask for your name or email, and none of it is used to build an advertising profile — Google Analytics' advertising features are off.

Cookies, and how to refuse them

Google Analytics stores two cookies on your device — _ga and_ga_FPN14HBJD8 — holding a randomly generated number so we can tell a returning visit apart from a new one. They carry no name, no email, and nothing else that identifies you personally.

You can refuse them at any time. Every major browser can block or delete cookies from its settings, and Google publishes abrowser opt-out add-on that switches Google Analytics off everywhere you browse. If you refuse, this site works exactly as it did before — you simply won't appear in our visit counts.

Where your data goes

Analytics data leaves South Korea: Google processes it on our behalf, on servers abroad. In full:

  • Who receives it: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA — see Google's privacy policy.
  • Where it goes: the United States, and other countries Google operates in.
  • What is sent: the usage data described above — no name, email, or account details.
  • Why: to produce aggregate visit statistics for this site, and nothing else.
  • How long it is kept: 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
  • How to refuse: block cookies, or install the opt-out add-on linked above. Nothing is sent at all, and you lose no part of the site.

Affiliate links

Carted contains affiliate links. When you click through to Amazon you are on Amazon's site, under Amazon's own cookies andprivacy notice rather than this policy. Amazon tells us how many purchases our links led to so we can be paid — not who you are, or what else you bought.

Your choices

  • Refuse analytics cookies at any time, as described above.
  • Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it — contact us below.
